1) It all starts with online booking! I try to make booking with me as easy as possible. I have several options for booking and each guides you through the process. If you are unsure which appointment type to book, feel free to email me and I can let you know which will work as best as I can. Please note that I will get back to you as soon as I can but it may take a few days because I prioritize booked clients and active tattoo time as a respect to the process.
2) After you book, you will get an automatic email response confirming your appointment. I very rarely turn down pieces because I like to work in many different styles so I’ve found that auto accepting works best for me. Reasons that I would turn down tattoos would include tattoos that won’t heal well, hate speech, watercolor (It’s just a style that I don’t feel I can do justice), and unrealistic tattoos. I don’t like just saying ‘no’ without an explanation and an alternative option, so I’ll make sure to have an educated dialogue about what is possible. If it just isn’t something that’s possible and we haven’t come to an agreement, I will refund the deposit. Deposits are non-refundable otherwise. If you are unsure about a design, feel free to email in and ask and we can let you know ahead of time if it is completely out of my range.
3) The email response confirming your appointment is your road for continued communication. Feel free to reply to that email with any questions or any other photo references that you have. This helps keep all of the information regarding your tattoo together. You are welcome to send photos up until close to the appointment day. Usually I have enough information to create the tattoo design or I can finalize any questions during the appointment so you will most likely not hear back from me up until your appointment. Just note that I will be fully ready for your appointment!
4) I work on your design before your appointment so that I can take the time it deserves to take in account all of the options and fit the design to your anatomy. I take this time to put as much intention into it as I can to make it a good quality well healing tattoo. Due to this, I don’t send out designs ahead of time.
5) It’s appointment day! I start the appointment by going over the design and thought process with you. We can make any changes we need to during this time. After a design is agreed on, I set you up with paperwork and we get to work on the tattoo!
6) After we finish up the tattoo, I make sure to go over the aftercare process thoroughly as well as give written access to the process. I keep the aftercare process easily accessible and easy to follow but it is ultimately up to you to ensure the healing integrity of your tattoo. I also offer 1 free touch up with my work. If needed, I suggest waiting 6-8 weeks for the healing time before getting a touch up.

Bookings can all be done through the booking tab on my website.
After you book your appointment through the system, you will be charged the deposit amount and receive a confirmation email. That email is used as a line of communication if you have any more references or want to talk more about the design. If I have any questions or concerns I’ll do the same. If you don’t hear anything from me other than confirmation emails, your appointment is good and it just means that I have everything I need to come to your appointment as prepared as I can!

Due to the nature of how numbing cream works and the time it takes, I’m only offering it on a case by case basis. If you are interested in using it, we will need to have a conversation before booking to make sure it is something that would be beneficial.
I will not tattoo over any numbing cream applied outside of the studio and I will not use numbing cream supplied elsewhere. If you come in with numbing cream applied (yes I will know even if you wipe it off), you will be considered a last minute cancellation.
I tested and developed a numbing cream process over several months to create a process that is consistent and effective and I’ll only use this process and my products for the safety of my clients.
Numbing cream works best on smaller pieces and isn’t guaranteed to work. Every body is different and even things such as anxiety can make a difference on its effectiveness.

I offer both in person and virtual consultations. You can find more info on consultations in the Booking section.

Yes, I do. I approach any sort of cover up and rework seriously. The last thing I would want is for you to need a cover up of a cover up. I want to be as transparent about how I approach cover ups because there are so many things to consider when taking them on.
1) I generally say that I can’t guarantee exactly the thing that will cover it. I take the time before the appointment to trial and error as much as I can to come up with the best design in my ability to get as close to your goal as we can. I usually have clients send me several things they wouldn’t mind covering it with so that we can make the best cover up option possible.
2) Cover ups generally need to be 3x larger to be able to cover properly and this becomes more difficult when there are other tattoos nearby or the tattoo is in a difficult spot.
3) The style of tattoo that we’re looking to cover with and what is currently there makes a huge difference to what our options are. I often get asked to cover tattoos with fine line flowers and it just isn’t possible. I do have a process where I can lighten certain spots of an existing tattoo, but I don’t have the ability to make it disappear altogether. If you aren’t sure what can cover what you have, I encourage you to book a complimentary free consultation when wanting to start large cover ups to go over the options.
4) When wanting to cover up with color or a color tattoo, we will need to keep in mind color theory. For example, I won’t be able to cover a dark tattoo with yellow or colors with a heavy yellow undertone as this will result in an olive green result. I usually suggest blues or opaque grays to cover with if we have a heavier tattoo.
5) Most cover ups need several sessions to complete and often tend to be time consuming.
6) If the ink that is in the original tattoo is older or is bought off Amazon or another store that isn’t a legit tattoo supply company (most won’t sell to members of the general public and you would need to provide proof that you are licensed and/or in a professional studio), this can result in adverse reactions when healing the cover up. The short story is that the body is recognizing the new foreign object and the old foreign object and will send histamines to the area to expel it. Following recommended aftercare is very important when getting a cover up.
7) Cover ups and reworks almost always need to begin with a half day or full day session. They are very unpredictable so I won’t be able to estimate exactly how long the process for a quality cover up will be.

I offer several booking options, all of which can be found under the Booking tab. Overall, my hourly is currently $200 and the shop minimum is $100. I do offer flat rate options for half day and full day.
I work efficient and client centric. That means I put in a lot of work behind the scenes to make sure you have a lot of intention and focus put into your piece. I also tattoo very fast and can cover a huge amount of area with a lot of detail in a short amount of time.
Hourly time begins at the start time of your appointment and ends at the time your tattoo is wrapped and aftercare instructions are given. Time will be rounded out to the closest half hour increment after the first hour.
All price quotes for tattoos are estimates. There are many factors in how long a tattoo will take to complete but I’m pretty good at estimating. Please note that the larger the tattoo, the more difficult it will be to estimate. Due to this, I do offer flat rate full day rates.
I value your time and money and will always do my best not to “sticker shock” you with pricing. I am comfortable talking pricing and budgets before the appointment so feel free to ask. I have some general time estimates under the FAQ “About how long will my tattoo take?” tab for more details on this.
Please note that all estimates are only guaranteed for currently scheduled sessions. This does mean that estimates are subject to change if an appointment isn’t booked at the time of the estimate.
-
All Deposits are non-refundable. After you book your appointment, you will be charged the deposit amount. If there is an issue with the design on, you will receive an email to give you the option to change the design or cancel the appointment. If you choose to not continue with the appointment during that email, then your deposit will be returned to you. This is the only time that a deposit will be returned.
-
You are welcome to reschedule up to 3 days (72 Hours) before your appointment and have your deposit moved 1 time. To do this, book a new date within the open availability and message me the new date (this includes placing a second deposit). Both deposits will go towards the second tattoo appointment. Please note that you will need to book within the open availability to keep the deposit. If you are wanting to reschedule and there isn't availability that works for you in the open window, we will need to cancel the appointment and the deposit will not be transferable.
If you need to reschedule and it is within 72 hours of your appointment, it will be considered a cancelation and you will need to book a new appointment (you forfeit your original deposit).
-
If you need to cancel your appointment, you forfeit your deposit. If you cancel 2x within 24 hours of your appointments, you will no longer be accepted as a client.
-
I give a 15 min no contact grace period. After this grace period, you would be considered late. I have a $50 late fee. You are considered a no call no show after 30 min.
I do not accept no call no show appointments as clients further.
I’m human and understand life happens, but the big thing I need is communication. I respect your time by spending hours preparing for your appointment and ask you to do the same.
-
Touch ups are generally complementary with my work. Tattoos over a year old may require a touch up fee and this will be decided on a case by case basis. If you cancel a complementary touch up within 36 hours of your appointment, a set up fee of $50 will be charged at your next touch up appointment. If you cancel your touch up appointment 2 times, this service is no longer free and you will need to book a regular appointment for this.

HOW SHOULD YOU PREPARE FOR YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT?
Definitely shower. Don’t shave the area but feel free to trim it up (tattooing over razor burn is no good). Start hydrating/keep hydrated for a few days before, it makes more of a difference on skin than you think. Please eat before hand even if you aren’t hungry. Adrenaline does fun things to the body and food helps. Also get some rest!
WHAT SHOULD YOU WEAR?
Be comfortable and think about the area you’re getting tattooed. Loose clothing usually does the trick. Keep in mind how the artist is going to have to access the area to apply the tattoo. Also, you’re going to be sitting for a bit usually so be comfortable! The body temperature usually drops when getting tattooed as well so having something warm would also help.
-
I do not take walk ins, but if I have any last minute availability, I will post on Instagram or open the dates on my scheduling manually.
-
Yes! I don’t mind people bringing friends and support, I just as that guests are limited to 1-2 or the party being tattooed. Please don’t bring children.
-
I take Cash and card with no preference to either.
-
As a general practice, I start drawing your piece the day before your appointment, as I have received a lot of last minute design changes in the past. Your art will be shown to you during your appointment and any changes needed can be made during that time.
-
In general, you should find your artist because you like their style and not just because they know how to put ink into skin. Not every artist works with every medium. You wouldn’t ask an oil painter to create pottery and the same concept goes for your tattoo artist. As an artist, we will always try to make your vision come to life and work with you to do such. This is an art piece created by us for you and we want you to be happy with what you get. To create a design you want, it’s important to communicate with your artist with a combination of words and reference photos to make your vision come to life.

I will not tattoo you if you are:
Drunk
High
Pregnant
Breastfeeding
Pre Surgery
Post Surgery
When you have a medical Concern and haven’t consulted your doctor
Sunburned or skin damage on the area
When you aren’t in a position to follow proper aftercare instructions
If you are taking medications that could prevent the healing of your tattoo (i.e. Accutane, blood thinners)

Please note that this isn’t an estimate quote but rather more information for clients to have to make informed decisions.
These general estimates depend on client size, how many tattoos I’ll need to work around, whether it’s in black and grey or color (below estimates are for black and grey), style, and location.
